clearance. Existing tracks were in good shape, yet installed too close together—causing
drapery and sheers to rub, bind, and interfere with proper operation. Rather than
defaulting to replacement, our team evaluated the constraints and engineered a solution
that worked within the existing pocket.
By shifting to a custom pleat configuration, we improved stack-back and movement
while preserving the original hardware. The result was smoother operation, reduced
friction between layers, and a finished appearance that aligned with the design
intent—without unnecessary scope expansion.
This project highlights how thoughtful
specification adjustments and field-driven problem solving can resolve tight conditions
efficiently and cleanly.
